Logan Downie is an illustrator based in York, England, whose practise centres around characters and fantasy worlds. He uses illustration to celebrate genres such as horror and fantasy and explores the ways in which they intersect with queer identity and queer culture. Portraying othered and monstorous figures in a way which empowers them is at the heart of his work.

Bonding over a shared love of Tolkien's work with his family was his first introduction to the fantasy genre. The idea that a person can pull an entire world from their imagination and share it with others inspired him and has shaped his life ever since.
